The web 2.0 technology that I would like to introduce is
called Push technology. Push technology
is an effective way for a business to get advertising to the consumers. Push
technology allows companies to push a message to consumers rather than waiting
for the consumer to find it. Push technologies can dispatch web pages and news
updates and can have sound and video geared to specific audiences or individuals.

Push technology is designed to help businesses and social
networking “find the right person at the right time that may happen to need to
buy your product or service.” (Kerpen, 2011) The technology
allows a business to monitor recent social media comments from or about the customer
to identify potential opportunities. The use of Push technology can help to put an end
to wasteful marketing spending and search marketing and social media have
rendered it possible to target exactly people you know are your customers and
best prospects, not people you think are, based on intuition and vague
understanding of market research.
When a business decides to use this type of technology it can be an enhancement to their marketing strategy. Push technology is a good marketing tool that can be personalized for businesses and social networking sites to receive specific information. This technology offers a way for businesses and social networking sites to be paid by advertisers who place their message on the internet.

ReplyDeleteIt is used to help businesses and social networking sites with marketing. This is what they do to get the word out about their product or service. I don't like junk in my email and don't like being targeted on the internet when I'm conducting business but this is what happens.
